I see what youre saying, but its only when I focus directly on the date. Taking the entire dial into focus though, I think it fits in rather seamlessly.

Its the "too close together" subdials that I dont like.

Two lumed subdial hands and one that isn't, a tad unbalanced perhaps? The thing is that at that price point, I can still not look at these watches with a straight face. Merchandising is fine but at close to five figures I'd take any given Omega over that one... or a Navi... or another Pam for that matter.

It is not an ugly watch, but to me it doesn't reflect the value of the asking price. In my wish list, that's a key factor though, so sorry Breitling, not for me. Why don't you let Chopard mess with Bentley and get back to making Breitlings?

Love the strap. I still prefer the earlier Bentley Le Mans.

I hadn't noticed that, but I agree, it does look a bit unbalanced. Perhaps the rationale is that the lumed hands are on the chronograph totalizers, whereas the non-lumed hand is for the small seconds. Which brings up a pet peeve I have with most chronographs with a 3,6,9 layout: why don't they put the seconds at 6, and balance the totalizers at 3 and 9? It makes the layout so much more symmetrical. I'm glad Rolex finally did this with the Daytona.

Another good point. It does seem ironic that Breitling's most expensive lineup isn't even in-house. Doubly ironic, at least for me (and I would guess a number of others), is that I'm being asked to pay a premium for a brand association with a car I will likely never be able to afford.
