Phase 1) Discontinue most loved models

Phase 2) Replace with rubber and buck rogers bezels.

Phase 3) ????

Phase 4) PROFIT!

It's never made any sense to me. Steelfish is a great seller for 6 years - gone. CA a great seller a few years - gone. Evo top seller a couple years and great seller for several years - gone. Maybe the most inexplicable was the B1. As superquartz watches go, it was perfect.

I've stopped trying to make sense of it because it doesn't change anything whether I understand it or not. Other than the Breitlings I have, the only remaining in the lineup as a possiblility is the SOH42. Just not one other model that does a thing for me. :(

I'm still pissed they discontinued the pre-Evo Chronomat and Blackbird before I even got into the brand. I never even had a chance, man. I never even had a chance.

And I'm pretty sure with the correct training you could have been a contender

I agree. I find myself search for out of production, pre-loved models now.

It seems that Breitling has decided that they need to move in a totally different direction in regards to the design of their line up. They are sticking with the Galactic style numerals on their bezels, and have added colored hands and bezels to many models...not to mention that many bezels are now rubber. While I hate these new models...I understand that Breitling feels that this is the direction that they need to go in.

What I don't get is why they couldn't leave the older, but still very popular models in their line up. I can understand removing once popular models whose sales have declined significantly, but I know that can't be the case here.

Just to put it in perspective...there was a time (not all that long ago) that I thought my entire collection could be made up of Breitlings. Now I struggle to keep 1 in my collection. All of the models I am now interested in are discontinued...and I have to look at the preowned market to pick them up.

I hope they will not end SOH 46mm line. Lot of my friends like B for Bentley models, not the "normal" line. I donĀ“t undertand them...

you are forgetting blackbird big date and the emergency also gone

i am glad i still got a new chrono avenger latest model sold bought in 2010, came straight from factory

for me the CA was one of the models that never should be discontinued

back when i started my passion of breitlings i loved almost every model present in catalog

now i open the chronolog and i consider only 2 or 3 models that i could consider buying the rest plain boring and weird models

hope this can change over time

they probably need money for fund new models, but they could remove others that arent so good, and not the best and famous ones

either that or...

need to remove the pretiest from the market so the new ones look the best and dont have pretier older models in front
