All these Breitling lists got me thinking  if you could only have one Breitling in your collection what would it be....what's your favorite ling of all time? And price isn't a concern.

EDIT...any Breitling, it doesn't have to be one in your current collection.

I know there are a lot of iconic Breitlings out there but if I could only have one it would be a white dial Navitimer Olympus. To me, that is the perfect Navitimer and the perfect watch.

Tough call, and subject to change. Right now, it's a Crosswind, with black-on-black Roman numeral dial. For the record, I don't have one, but I intend to sooner or later.

If I had to pick just one, it would have to be my black Steelfish. Indestructable and the epitome of a diver.

2nd pick is my Navitimer 01 LE, screams class and has all the ingredients for a perfect Breitling.

I am going to have to say the Transocean LE in silver dial has me smitten right now, and with 100m of water resistance I have to give it the slight edge over the Navitimer 01

:yeahthat on the basis of versatility.

Limited to a bracelet - I like the pre-raped watch formerly known as the Cockpit. Black dial.

Justin, you're making it very hard for me to commit to a single favorite.

I would rather have the Blackbird and rest my wrist once in a while then wear my daily forever, which is my second fav, Colt Auto II, silver on Pro 2.

BlackBird, she just has it all. Can't wait till I have one on the wrist in the new car. Then the world will be perfect (Black on black 135i w/sport package etc).

I would second that, but for two fairly minor exceptions. One, I'd rather have a diver's bezel than a compass bezel, since I can actually use a diver's bezel. Two, I still like the straight lugs of the pre-Evo case. Hence, my (for now) slight preference for the Crosswind. Then again, the BB has that special Pilot, made all the more better by being brushed. I suppose I could always go with an older-gen BB, but the current gen is kick-ass in every other respect, including the best lume I've seen on a Breitling, and of course the big date. Damn, this is hard.

I know what you mean. I feel similarly about my daily, the CSO. It's a great watch, but it doesn't stop me from drooling puddles over some of the other classics.

I would have to say the Bentley Le Mans. I love that watch. I hope to have one some day.

Hard to boil down to just one, but it would be the Navitimer 01 LE. Classic Navtimer look, new in-house engine, display back. It might not be the most versatile watch when it comes to sport or water, but I'll wear other brands for that. I was just limited to one Breitling, not one watch. :)

Very tough one! But I'm going to stick with my number one from my top ten thread the other day and say the Navitimer 01 non-LE, with batons, on the bracelet.

Amazing! I always thought I had fairly individual tastes when it came to watches (Plo Prof, Graham anyone?) but my all time favourite Breitling is also the Navi 01.

I would take the limited edition version on the Navi bracelet.

The great thing is I am trying to sort this very combination out for myself. :)

I appreciate this may seem to lack any imagination, as it is currently under discussion on this forum having only recently been released. However, I do feel that the Navi 01 is Breitling's most important watch of all time.
