I have owned a Tag Heuer Kirium Chrono auto for a number of years and have often thought about upgrading to a Breitling. Didn't actually think I'd ever do it though!

I have been lurking on here for a few weeks and picked up an awful lot of incredible advice, so firstly THANKS for that.

I live in the UK and decided to take the plunge while on a recent trip to Vegas. I tried the large Tourneau store at Caesars Palace first (rude people!) and ended up buying from an AD in the "Fashion Show Mall. Very friendly and very helpful. Just what I would have expected from Breitling really.

I wanted a Skyland blacksteel but I knew it was highly unlikely that I'd find one and sure enough this particular mission failed. A yellow Seawolf was next on the list but that seemed too chunky after the Tag.

I ended up buying a Colt Quartz (blue face). I think the cheapest of all the range? I love the simple style, its classy look. I know its a tough sucker - which is good as I want it for everyday use. I LOVE IT.

The AD deal knocked 15% off straight away and then rounded it down so I could get the blue diver pro strap that I really wanted. I have the bracelet now as a back up. The rubber strap looks much more sporty - in exactly the same way that I am not!

I wore it back through customs with the box and papers in my luggage.

Just wanted to tell my story and thank you all for your input. You were all helping me and you didn't even know it.

Congratulations!

And also, very welcome to post your first post here in the forum! Your impression of Tourneau seems to be shared of quite a few here on the forum, unfortunately. One can only hope some senior management from them also reads this and reacts before it turns to something really big.

Welcome and congrats! Ths whole Colt line is just simple, clean, classic Breitling. I'm sure you'll love it for years. Post some pics if you can.

Now, if you don't want to end up buying a second one run away from this forum....far far away

Congratulations! Too bad about the Tourneau experience, though, but I heard a lot of bad things about them. Also unusual for Las Vegas, nearly every shop I went into had exellent, friendly service. I did also find the Fashion Mall to be a very friendly place to shop.'
Anyway, enjoy the watch.
Cheers,
Carl
