I was driving home from work and noticed that it was a little fogged up. I thought it was just on the outside but rubbed it and hasn't gone away. I can still tell them time with it but it shouldn't be this way.

I haven't swum with it or immersed it in water beyond washing my hands and the crown hasn't been unscrewed since I bought it a few months back.

Anyone able to give a possible diagnosis?
It is still under warranty so should I get down to an AD? There is one about 10mins away but I didn't buy it from them :?

Thanks

Its leaking somewhere. Even the smallest drop of water can cause condensation.

How old was it when you bought it, and where did you buy it from?

Hard to tell how the water got in. The Nav's are not good with the H2O! If it's only a couple months old it is under warranty but I don't know about water on the warranty. Either way get it to your dealer ASAP!!! That water is doing its dirty work with every sweep of the second hand! :x

Was bought new in February from an AD. I took it back to an AD just a different one. The guy I spoke with said it sounds like it is leaking and so they've sent it off to Breitling.

At least I have my Colt...

Hopefully they pressure test it and find a leak. Otherwise, you might be out a lot of dough.

I had an old quartz watch which fogged up for no apparent reason. I figured it must have absorbed sweat off my wrist somehow when going from warm to cold, but I sort of expected that from a $100 watch.

Anyways, I'd be pretty suprised if they don't fix your Navi with no questions asked.

In my opinion, the "30 meters" rating suggests it should at least keep moisture out during normal "above water" daily use.

Indeed. Getting it new from an AD and using it in normal activities excluding water, this should be taken care of by the warranty. Good luck and hope you'll get it back soon!

Thanks for your comments...I was in a bit of a rush earlier because I was hoping to get to the AD and back before Top Gear started on BBC America

I don't think I'm going to be seeing it for a few months...In four weeks I'm going out of town until the beginning of July and I don't think it'll be back from Breitling until then. I wasn't going to take it with me so was trying to give it some face time between now and then! The guy at the AD did say that usually Breitling treat issues like this under warranty quicker than regular servicing.

Good luck with sending it back to Breitling. They take months to service a watch. Bite the bullet and just pay a local watchmaker and get it fixed if you want it done faster. I had to do that with my Nav World. It takes months just for a watchmaker to get a part from Breitling! i know it is under warranty but if you want your watch back faster use someone local. That is just my suggestion. My World was still under warranty as well but I chose to just pay so I could get it done faster. Good luck with your watch.

Naviman, to be honest the time away doesn't bother me that much. I was going to leave it at home while I was out of the country for two months as it is so I've only really lost a few weeks without it if it's returned within 3 months.

Besides the watch is under warranty and repairs done at no cost to myself (I hope so as I can't see how my actions have caused it to fog up!). With no disrespect to local watchmakers I'd rather have the piece of mind that it's getting the work done by Breitling themselves, it is only two months old and I'd rather have something like this nipped in the bud.

VillageIdiot, I see your point. I guess if you do not mind it being gone and it is only 2 months old then it is just the principal of the matter, make Breitling fix it. When I had to get mine fixed it was my only Ling and time was very important lol! Going around without a Ling is unacceptable! That just motivated me to get more Lings...

I'll be honest, I did stop by the cabinet on the way out, the wife rolled her eyes at me and knew what I was thinking. We kept on walking

I have a deal with my wife that every new Ling I buy she gets a new handbag and that evens it out. Handbags and a pair of shoes will cure anything for a woman lol!!! Just take her to Chanel or Gucci after you look in that Ling case and she will forget all about your new Ling, works everytime...
