Hi to everybody,
As a newbee I would like to have some information about old Breitling lovers as on this forum...

I have bought some days ago a unmarked DPW watch made - according to the information - by Breitling for the Italian army. Movement is Breitling Quartz Calibre 57. Please give me all useful information and inform me about the original watch strap which seemed to be a bracelet with centimeter and inch indications. Somebody would have an indication where to find such strap ?

Please see an identical watch under:

Well first off that seller has a crazy idea of value - his watches are ridiculously overpriced.

It looks like a Military Colt from the 80s, and yes the original strap had measurements marked on it. However, the hands on this watch are inconsistent with the usual versions of this watch - not necessarily an issue, but certainly a reason for closer investigation before putting any money down. There is basic info on the model on this site - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... d_119.html

Thank you for your information. I agree that this seller has absolut crazy prices, I have not bought this watch, but this watch is identical to mine (apart that my watch has no rectangle around the date window). I would like to have information about the original watch strap which seemed to be a neopren bracelet with centimeter and inches indication. Could somebody help me to get such a bracelet since my watch has a unmarked not-original rubber band. Thank you.

Had another thought - the Breitling Compass from the mid 80s had those hands, and looked like that - but it also had a compass hidden under the dial and I would have thought that you would have mentioned that......

You see watches with the original strap on eBay occasionally, haven't ever seen the strap available separately, but an AD may be able to help. The problem is that they haven't been produced for 20 years or so, so it might be difficult to find one in usable condition.

Do you know if I can change the dial of my 80210 (arma carabinieri) with the dial of the Breitling PVD Colt 80180 since the watch seems to be the same Colt model ?

Please also have a look on a beautiful video coming from Breitling's site regarding revision of Chronographs

Can it be done, technically I believe the answer is yes. Will Breitling do it, not so sure about that.
