hi,

i bought my blackbird in the states ( i'm from belgium).
they sell it for 6050 without a discount BUT in the states the tax is not included ! this is differnt in europe!
the us sales tax is mostly 7.5% so if you have a 15% discount its only a 7.5% discount !

remember this !

Sales tax varies from state to state and some states have 0%. Also, if you have the item shipped out of state you usually do not need to pay the sales tax.

Actually, the one that my AD had was the newest one, likely 08/09. It had all of the new models announcement at Basel in it, too.
Cheers,
Carl

Carl - was that Chronolog you saw an AD version (i.e. bigger) or a new print of the "customer" version? Only asking as the Chronolog I has none of the new Basel 08 models. I always think it's odd that the new catalogue comes out in Jan/Feb and yet Baselworld (with all the new models that don't make the Chronolog) is in April! You'd have thought they coincide the two....

I think you are right. It was actually quite a bit smaller than the chrolog I have for 2007/08. Probably just an update. Anyway, I was relieved to know that the Blackbird is going to be available still in both versions of brushed and polished. It is a watch I really have my eyes on, one of my very favourites. Having said that I would prefer the brushed look, who knows what the thoughts will be when it actually appears polished. That beautiful special pilot bracelet with the bevelled edges that is exclusive to Blackbird will probably look stunning.
Cheers,
Carl

I just bought a blackbird last month and i LOVE IT!! I havent taken it off since i put it on at Fords Jewelers in NJ.
I got it with the black leather deploy strap but am thinking of getting the bracelet to mix things up a bit.
I highly recommend it!!

best,
jason

the watch really grows on you !
at first is I doubbed my purchase because it a lot of money for a relative modest watch. that doesn't jump out.

because it's so subtle it' wears like nothing else and you can not compare the watch to another...

damn my english is bad ! can't wright want i want to say !

Thanks guys. I can't wait to buy it.

Today I was wondering if I should wait for the Seawolf in steel since it is similar in dimensions and also looks appealing. But I think I'll go with the Blackbird (first ...).

Just an update on the brushed / polished thing... When I was in my AD yesterday the Breitling rep was there and she confirmed that they would be offering the Blackbird in both brushed and polished finishes - the polished is in addition, not as a replacement.
