Post subject:  SA on Speed

A few months back there were a few threads on here about different bracelets fitting different models, and it cropped up whether the Speed bracelet would fit the SA. Well, apparently it does! I just found this on the Jomashop website - check this out guys....

I think you'll admit, that looks darn fine! (Except for the diamonds of course! )

It looks nice indeed, if it isn't photoshop.

Yeah I'm not sure about some of Jomashop's watches.

My wife saw the Cockpit Lady she wanted there, but the combination was never actually produced, so unless they got hold of an unwanted custom order, something is a little odd.

Well, my mate who bought a Chronomat Evo of them that came without the COSC certificate is sending it off to Breitling for verification purposes. So I guess we'll see if something is odd or not!

Good point, but the SA lugs and the Speed bracelet end links are both 24mm, so in theory it should definitely fit anyway.

Personally I find the speed bracelet too "fine" ( for want of a better term ) for the SA. I think that the PRO II is a lot better suited, just because with the bigger links it is a heavier looking bracelet. It's all a matter of personal taste of course, but I can see there is a reason that Breitling offers that watch with the PRO II. Of course, if the watch in question did not have the diamonds that would again change the whole appearance. The idea of diamonds on a SA as well just seems very inappropriate to me. I do tend to like the bracelet selections that Breitling sets for all of it's models. Having said that, I have an Ocean Racer strap on order for my Steelfish, which is a combination not shown as an option by Breitling. Anyway, I find the whole thing is rather a bit of fun, and I do find great entertainment value in discovering all these new combinations.
Cheers,
Carl

Maybe, but not necesserily. I (AD) tried to put a Fighter bracelet on my old Colt and it couldn't be done (without visual imperfection). The end links are different from Pro1 bracelet, which is suited for 17035 model.
You have both watches, make an experiment, enlight us all. :)

I probably really ought to give it a try, but I actually don't really like changing straps unless I have to. I get paranoid about slipping and scratching the lugs! Terribly anal I know.

It's not anal, I understand your fears.
