hey... looking to pick up my next breitling.. either a navitimer world or the avenger skyland... i currently have a super ocean.

does anyone know if the actual diameter of the crystal on the skyland is larger than that of the super ocean... i know the skyland is 3mm larger in size but does that 3mm mean a larger case or the crystal or both? thanks for the help

Generally speaking, if the watch is bigger, the crystal is also bigger, however, there are a couple of the watches that have thinner bezels than others, especially older discontinued ones.

I tried both watches on and i decided to get the skyland. If you want a huge looking watch get the sa for sure but if u want a bigger than average watch(but still very thick) get the skyland. Its pretty big while looking very sharp on a small wrist.

ps. if your wrist is pretty big than get the sa 4 sure.
good luck!!

I've got a SO Steelfish, and an Avenger Skyland. The crystal on the Skyland is about 2mm greater diameter. I think the Steelfish is a bit larger also than the SuperOcean, so you would probably notice a fair difference. Also, when I tried on the SO and the Colt, they only have a 20mm bracelet width, but the Steelfish and Skyland are both 22mm. That is also where I noticed a difference, and liked the bulkier look a lot better on the wrist. I love the Avenger Skyland, to me the best looking Breitling. The stencil-like numerals look great on it. I like it so much in fact, that before it came out my favourite was the Blackbird. I was going to wait a couple of years till my 60th b'day and get a Blackbird. But when I saw the Blacksteel, I knew that being a limited edition it might not be around then. So, I got the Skyland early. Even at that, I had made up my mind that if I waited, I would get the Skyland with the grey dial over the
Blackbird.
You can't go wrong with the Skyland!
Cheers,
Carl
