OK so it's good that something new is being tried to revive the line up, I'll try not to sound too negative:

I'm not sure if like any of these Navi 8 models. They look very generic. I feel like I would just go and buy an Oris Propilot instead and save thousands in cash.
I'm not ultra traditional or anti avant garde but the supposed loss of the wings and move away from aviation ties is beginning to irritate me. Forgive me if I'm way off the mark.
If the Navi 8 is based on a cockpit instrument, by removing the wings from the dial, are they saying that it's not based on a cockpit instrument? I get it with the Superocean of course, it's a divers style watch but Navitimer is an aviators watch.

The brand is based around aviation, and aviators buy Breitling because they are pilots instruments. Civilians and regular folk would buy Breitling because they liked the styling as well as the sturdiness and reliability. Trying to capture too many audiences is tricky.
I never cared for the sexist pop art imagery or the "ambassadors" but I do care for what Breitling represents (or used to). On one hand it's the old guard like me, and on the other hand it's the "music celebrities". Whatever, but what is the new objective? Mass market appeal? Are we aiming for young affluent traders and professionals who want a utilitarian post war era look and pay a lot of money for it? I'm not sure if I know anyone who does. There are other brands out there that can achieve the same look for less. Mass market appeal is when a brands identity is diluted, where any Joe Bloggs would aspire to buy a "Tag" or "Ling" just because it's not elitist and is relatively affordable.

If you're gonna design something new, start from scratch. Not recycling something that is obsolete just to evoke imagined memories of the past?

Looks like the production version will have a little more text on the dial.

Sorry for just the link, I haven’t gotten used to imgur just yet.

Gotta say, it's a nice looking watch.

The empty seconds subdial throws me a bit in terms of overall balance. A crosshairs approach might have been interesting...

I do like the added text and can't wait to see some real life shots of the blue dial. I like it on the strap but I'd still have preferred to see a different bracelet option than something so similar to the professional bracelet.

Unfortunately you cannot even use the Breitling mesh because (IMHO) they come only in even mm widths while the need of the Navi8 is odd mm width (21 mm for the 3-hander vs. 23 mm for the chrono). They would look nice on the mesh... :(
